Rebecca died at the age of seventy-five on 7 Jul, 1846 in the parish of Mendham in Suffolk, Englandf1. Her death was attributed to "inflamation of the bowels"f1.

She was buried six days later in Weybreade2 She was survived by her husband James Brighton.
