Bridget Dineen (1842–1898)
Bridget was born on Trinity Sunday, 22 May 1842 in the parish of Caerleon in Monmouthshire, Wales, the daughter of Daniel Dineen (1806–1861)★ and Mary Nighan (1814–1896)★. She was baptised as an infant on 4 Jun, 1842 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stow Hill, Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales. She is Ian's great great grandmother.
Bridget was recorded in the 1851 census at Shoemaker's Row in Risca, Monmouthshire, Walesa1 with her father Daniel, a labourer, mother Mary and two siblings Johanna and Dennis.
By the time of the 1861 census she was living at Wain y pwyl farm in Llandegveth, Monmouthshire, Walesb1.
She married Patrick Bryan (1839–1867) on 11 Nov, 1864 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Newportc1,d1 . They had one son:–
- John (known as Jack) baptised on 22 Oct, 1865 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Newporte1.
Patrick, her husband, died on 11 May, 1867 at St. John's Infirmary in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Walesd2 at the age of twenty-eight.
She married Daniel Palmer (1843–?), a journeyman shoemaker, on 7 Dec, 1867 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Newportc2,d3 . They had just one child together:–

By the time of the 1891 census she was living in Full Moon in Newtown, Mynyddyslwyn, Monmouthshire, Waless1 with her husband John Jones and two children Rosearia Hemmings and Helena Hemmings.
Bridget died at the age of fifty-six on 1 Oct, 1898 at St. John's Infirmary, Cardiffd12. Her death was attributed to "cancerous peritonitis"d12.
She was survived by her husband John Jones, now a collier.
