James Chambers (1794–1854)

James was baptised on 11 May, 1794 in the parish of Fressingfield in Suffolk, Englanda1, the son of Joseph Chambers (1738–1815)★ and Sarah Meen (1751–1820)★. He is Ian's 3x great grandfather.

He married Mary Ann Martin (1801–1873)★ on 12 Oct, 1821 at the Church of St. Peter & St. Paul in Fressingfield, Suffolk, Englandb1,c1 . They had seven children:–

By the time of the 1851 census he was living at Church Street in Fressingfield, Suffolk, Englandg1 with his wife Mary Ann and four children John, an agricultural labourer, James, an agricultural labourer, George, a surgeons servant and Emma Maria.

James died at the age of fifty-nine on 4 Feb, 1854 in Fressingfielde3. His death was attributed to "erysipelas" (a skin infection, commonly known as St. Anthony's Fire due to the burning sensation experienced)e3.

He was buried five days later in Fressingfieldh1 He was survived by his wife Mary Ann.
