Research Notes

William was probably born around 1730. There are a number of candidates:

William son of Phineas, baptised 19 Apr 1731 in Childe Okeford. The Phineas name makes this an attractive match. However there are two later burials in Child Okeford one of which may be him: 25 Jun 1734 and 30 Jan 1734. Phineas appears to have been buried on the 14 Dec 1734 along with an Ann (his wife?) the same day.

William son of William and Susanna (m. 25 Jun 1729), baptised 2 Apr 1732 in Okeford Fitzpaine.

William son of William and Margaret, baptised 14 May 1727 in Puddletown, though this one appears to have been buried on 8 Nov 1732

William son of Robert, baptised 13 Dec 1727 in Sherborne
