In the 1901 census he was living at 3 Chargeable Lane in Canning Town, West Ham, Essex, Englande1 with his mother Susan and five siblings Eustace Young, an indoor farm servant, Lawrence Felton, now a coach trimmer, Archibald Ernest, now a stableman, Emmeline Maud and Albert Edmund, a grocer's shop boy.

  • John Henry died age one. Baptised on 7 Aug, 1925 in the parish of Victoria Docks St. Luke in Essex, Englandg3. Died in the Jan-Mar quarter of 1926 in West Hamh3.

Arthur died at the age of fifty-eight on 14 Aug, 1938 at Central Home in Leytonstone, Essex, England. His death was attributed to "tabes dorsalis" (degeneration of nerve cells in the lower back caused by untreated syphilis).

He was survived by his wife Ethel.
