Frederic was born at Skastad in Skåre, Rogaland, Norway. His parents are not known. He is Ian's 5x great grandfather.

He met Kars Hansdatter (1743–?)★ before 1767 . They had four children:–

• Frode born in 1767 in the parish of Kongsberg in Buskerud, Norway.
• Jacob baptised on 18 Jun, 1775 in the parish of Haugesund in Rogaland, Norway. Died on 30 Jul, 1848 at Osnes in Torvastad, Rogaland, Norway at the age of seventy-three.
• Marie★ born in 1785 in Kongsberg.
• Hans born in 1789 in Kongsberg.

The time and place of Frederic's death is not known.
