Research Notes

In a conversation with Malcolm Chambers in 1992 he mentioned that Joseph married a Mary Reynolds in 1679 and that Mary Edwards died in 1678. We can’t find this marriage and currently the Mary Chambers burial in 1678 is associated with Joseph and Mary Edwards daughter Mary, baptised in 1676.

The burial of Mary Chambers 1678 mentions that she is the wife of Joseph, however the burial in 1678 does not mention any relations. Normally a child would be recorded with father’s name and a wife with the husbands’s name. Without these it’s hard to be sure which Mary the burial belongs to.
