Johne Lovelas son of Humphry Lovelas was buried January the 28th [Anno yz in?] 1768 & oath was made the same day before Robert Napier one of his majesty's justices of the peace by Joan Whiting & Hanah Spiny ^ of the parish of Maiden Newton [inserted[ that the sd John Lovelas was buried in woolen only according to the terms of the late Act of Parliament for burying the dead & not otherwise.
