I thought I would summarise the DNA matches I have managed to identify via Ancestry so far. Of the 571 relatives that are 4th cousins or closer I have identified 36 and have been in contact with most of them.

Only 9 of my matches share more than 200 centiMorgans of DNA, an amount typical for second cousins or closer. Of those, one is my dad, one is my daughter and one is my half-brother! It would be nice to have some more closer matches, but I have over 16,000 relatives that are more distant than 4th cousins to explore one day.

I’ve organised the matches by the closest shared relatives and indicated our relations to those people.
