I received the death certificate of Kitty Whitehead today:
Death at 17 Leicester Street, Northampton on 17 June 1917 of Kate Tew, female, age 83 years, widow of George Tew, Waggoner. The cause of death was Senile Decay, certified. The informant was Annie Wyatt, daughter, present at the death, 17 Leicester Street, Northampton. Registered on 18 June 1917.
Annie Wyatt is Annie Louisa Tew.
I also received the death certificate of Frances Sage who I believe to be Frances Snowling. She married George Brooks in 1839 and I recently found that she later married John Sage in 1873.
Death at Lowgate Street, Eye on 1 Dec 1885 of Frances Sage, female, age 66 years, wife of John Sage, a retired farmer. The cause of death was Cancer of Liver, certified. The informant was M. A. Turner, Daughter in Law, present at the death, of Godalming, Surrey. Registered on 2 Dec 1885.
I don’t know who M.A. Turner is. Sister in law most likely means she is one of John Sage’s daughters, but possibly she could be the wife of Frances’ sons who has remarried. I’ll see if I can find her in the 1891 census for Surrey.
