Some more certificates arrived from the GRO.
First the birth of Elizabeth Hinksman (Peak), listed in the GRO as Elizabeth Inksman:
Birth at Bell Street, North Shields, Northumberland on 23 Aug 1862, Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Inksman, mother Mary Ann Inksman formerly Spencer. The father’s profession was Seaman Merchant service. The informant was Mary Ann Inksman, mother, Bell Street, North Shields. She could not sign her name. Registered on 1 Oct 1862.
Next I got the death certificate of John Peak, father of Thomas Turner Peak:
Death at 24 Beacon Street, Tynemouth, Northumberland on 17 June 1900 of John Peak, male, 60 years, Boiler Maker. Cause of death was Cirrhosis of Liver, Pneumonia 4 days. The informant was Elizabeth Turnbull, present at death, 4 Bird Square, Tynemouth. She could not sign her name. Registered on the 18th June.
I’m not sure who Elizabeth Turnbull is but the name seems familiar.
