Annie Louisa Tew’s marriage certificate arrived today:
Marriage at the Register Office, Northampton on 27 June 1912 of Joseph Wyatt, 55 years, Widower, General laborer of 9 St. George’s Square and Annie Louisa Tew, 37 years, Spinster, Charwoman of 10 St. George’s Square. His father was John Henry Wyatt (deceased) a general laborer and hers was George Tew (deceased) a waggoner. Joseph could not sign his name but Annie could. The witnesses were J.H. Wyatt and Mary Wakling.
We think Mary Wakling is Louisa’s older sister Mary Tew who married Edwin Wakelin.
We found an old map of Northampton online1 and although we couldn’t locate St. George’s Square, we think it could be neat St. George’s Street near the barracks.
